MDL already communicates with many leading customers and
suppliers using EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems, reducing errors on
transcription and removing barriers to speedy processing. It is our aim to offer a good
spread of electronic ordering facilities, to make electronic ordering as easy and
straightforward as possible. We are a committed user of Teleordering and First Edition.
To receive more
information on electronic ordering facilities via EDI email Ray Webb for details. |

MDL was the first major
distributor to install WhitakerWeb which is now known as Nielsen
BookNet.
Other distributors, as well as leading US wholesaler Ingram, are also joining the service.
The Nielsen BookNet retail module provides UK and overseas booksellers with a fully
interactive exchange of information combining TeleOrdering with bibliographic search
facilities, order tracking and EDI messaging. Easy to use and free of charge to
TeleOrdering and BookBank subscribers, Nielsen BookNet gives booksellers the ability to manage
their orders online from their PCs. To receive more information on this service please
